The concept behind the vinyl cover design for Stop This Flame is to visually depict a relationship that cannot work due to the differences between the two people involved. This contrast is shown through the use of two shapes that could never fit into each other - a triangle and a circle - representing the fundamentally different natures of the two people.
The choice of colours emphasizes this difference, red and blue, each evoking opposite emotions. The red symbolises the more passionate and determined person in the relationship, fighting to make the relationship work. In contrast, the blue represents a more unbothered and detached personality, someone who also wants the relationship to succeed but doesn't have the same drive.
Together, these elements show the incompatibility between the two individuals, despite their efforts to make the relationship work.
